Nadir is qualified in England & Wales and Ontario. His practice comprises front-end/contracts, project advisory and disputes work on construction and engineering projects in a range of jurisdictions including the Americas, the UK, Europe, the Middle East, Africa and East Asia.
Nadir’s projects work comprises tender support and drafting, reviewing, negotiating and providing ongoing project support and advice in respect of bespoke and standard-form contracts (including FIDIC, NEC3/NEC4 and other standard forms) with a variety of governing laws.
He has particular expertise with collaborative contracting methodologies, including alliancing and two-stage contracting / progressive design-build, and has worked on projects implementing collaborative principles on four continents.
Nadir’s disputes work comprises acting in a range of proceedings, under a variety of dispute resolution mechanisms including courts, arbitration, adjudication and DABs/DRBs in diverse jurisdictions, and with experience of a number of ADR processes including mediation, conciliation and early neutral evaluation. He has particular experience on high-value, multiparty, cross-jurisdictional disputes.
During his time at Beale & Co, Nadir has undertaken secondments to two major multidisciplinary engineering consultancies carrying out primarily non-contentious work (contract drafting, negotiation and project support, as above) and advising on, implementing and policing risk management policies and procedures, including in relation to compliance issues (e.g. sanctions, export controls and money laundering/terrorism financing).
